Sara Potecha is an accomplished author, speaker, and consultant who has led cultural transformation initiatives for Fortune 100 and 200 companies and coached hundreds of leaders to higher performance levels. A masterful storyteller, Sara is a sought-after speaker on such topics as resilience, emotional intelligence, transformation, women in leadership, veteran employment, and leadership competency.
Sara began her career as an Army Officer, supervising over 300 highly skilled technicians stationed in Europe. The technical expertise gained through her military service served her well when she began her corporate career working in a large bank's Information Technology (IT) department. Her leadership skills propelled her career as she was called upon to address and solve more complex people issues. Eventually, this led to her serving as a mortgage company's Director of Change Management. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Sara launched her highly successful management consulting firm in 2014 and most recently became a best-selling author.
In her first non-fiction business book, West Point Woman, Sara delves into fundamental leadership precepts taught at a tender age at the United States Military Academy and applied in all her varied roles. She captures her audiences through powerful and often hilarious personal stories while teaching her readers how to cultivate the character within.
Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University. She is credentialed as a John Maxwell certified speaker, trainer, and coach and a National Speakers Association (NSA) certified professional speaker.
When Sara is not speaking, writing, or coaching, you will find her outdoors – on a bike, on a hike, or skiing with her husband and her adult children.
