About Us
Hi there! 👋 Thanks for stopping by. I’m Edythe. I teach people how to harness their emotional intelligence and use their best personality attributes to find, create, and sustain meaningful employment.
I started my career as an ESL teacher in Seoul, Korea. I lived in Asia for 6 years, studied abroad in France, moved to Brazil for a bit, and spent many years travelling (52 countries & counting!). Little did I know then that these experiences would serve as the basis for the work I do now:
📌 I’m a self-starter. Moving abroad and finding work shows motivation, initiative, and independence.
📌 I’m adaptable. I've been forced WAY out of my comfort zone (in a good way). The more you travel, the clearer it becomes that flexibility in situations you can’t control leads to positive results.
📌Cross-cultural communicator: I work regularly with diverse teams, give presentations on DEI initiatives, implicit bias training, and the importance of an inclusive workplace.
📌Empathy: Being exposed to new ways of thinking and doing has given me insight and appreciation of others’ perspectives. And that's just good for business.
📌 Problem-solver: Every day I’m faced with a puzzle I must solve. I’ve learned to brainstorm my way through. There's always a Win-Win for everyone.
📌Great at networking: Travelling alone forces you to socialize with others. I like to think I can hold my own in any conversation on various topics.
I’ve been a counselor, coach, trainer, author, and speaker. I’ve worked in higher education, workforce development, and corporate human resources. I love psychometrics and am an MBTI Master Practitioner (proud ENFP type), CliftonStrengths (Input, Ideation, WOO, Empathy, Strategic), and DiSC (straight-up i) facilitator/trainer. I regularly use the EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence assessment. I’ve launched 4 podcast series; Myers-Briggs Question Corner has been running for 7+years. And I launched my career consulting firm, A Top Career, in 2013.
💡 Bottom line:
You’re human. I’m human. We’re all human first and foremost. It doesn’t matter your color, religion, or personality type. We each want to be seen, loved, valued, and heard.
I'm on a journey through this thing called life. Join me & follow. Or get in touch!
